Employer's Assistance Scheme
The Employers Assistance Scheme provides businesses with a free and confidential consultation service with specialist support in the implementation of Drug and Alcohol Policies, Awareness Training for key staff, contact details for free local Treatment Services, an informative member's monthly e-newsletter, access to business events and seminars and good all round networking opportunities. Member companies range from smaller local companies to larger multi-nationals.
DATS are one of the leading national providers of drug and alcohol policies for the workplace and have developed a range of benefits and services to address the needs of all businesses, regardless of size and industry sector, as the problem of drugs directly and indirectly affects us all.
All monies received from business, after covering costs, are reinvested in to the provison of treatment, education and information services.
We have strong links with the TUC and the CBI, both of whom endorse our services and recognise the importance of implementing a supportive drug and alcohol policy in the workplace.
"The Confederation of British Industry (CBI) supports this Employer's Assistance Scheme.
It is important that companies are properly informed and have a realistic picture of drugs and alcohol in the workplace."
Janet Asherson ~ Confederation of British Industry (CBI)
"The TUC is pleased to welcome this initiative by DATS. Protecting the health, safety and welfare of employees must be at the heart of any business that wants to be successful. This can only be done through the full participation of the workforce and the trade unions. This scheme recognises the vital role that employees can play in helping themselves and their colleagues in dealing with alcohol and drug abuse and addiction. There is more to workplace drug and alcohol policy than testing. This scheme will assist employers and their staff by giving easy access to advice, training and support services leading to an effective policy which testing alone can never do." Tom Mellish ~ TUC Health and Safety Policy Officer
